The Emergence and Historical Development of the Need to use Electronic Evidence

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the emergence and development of the use of electronic evidence. It examines the formation of cybercrime in the context of information technology development, the first instances of the use of electronic evidence, their procedural significance, and the stages of their recognition in international and national legislation. Special attention is given to the development of electronic data and digital evidence in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as issues related to ensuring their admissibility.
