The role of teachers in advancing the quality of education is increasingly shaped by their pedagogical competence and creativity. In contemporary educational systems, a competency-based approach, supported by innovative pedagogical methods and technologies, is gaining importance as a key factor in teacher development. While various studies have addressed pedagogical competence, fewer have comprehensively examined how competency-based strategies contribute to fostering innovative pedagogical activities. This study investigates the role of a competency-based approach in enhancing teachers' pedagogical creativity and explores methods such as project-based learning, interactive teaching, collaborative work, and self-assessment in teacher training. The analysis reveals that competency-based education significantly contributes to teachers’ ability to apply modern teaching strategies, supports continuous professional development, and enhances creative thinking. Teachers trained through this approach demonstrated improved adaptability to innovative technologies and greater engagement in collaborative and reflective practices. The article offers a holistic synthesis of methodological strategies that enable teachers to internalize and implement pedagogical innovations through competence development, going beyond traditional knowledge-based models. The findings emphasize the necessity of integrating competency-based frameworks in teacher education programs to align pedagogical practices with modern educational demands, thereby ensuring sustained improvements in teaching quality and educational outcomes.
