Abstract

The article addresses the optimization of the mineral component and bitumen content in order to extend the service life of asphalt concrete pavements. The influence of the shares of crushed stone (40–50%), sand (38–39%), mineral powder (1–7%) and bitumen (2.5–9%) on the physical and mechanical performance of the pavement is analyzed. The effect of mountain stone and river stone on the service life of asphalt concrete is shown through comparative tables. A precise calculation methodology for 1 ton of mixture has been developed. Optimal composition variants are recommended for different climatic zones of Uzbekistan.
