Semantic and Pragmatic Features of Euphemistic Units in Literary Texts

This article examines the semantic and pragmatic features of euphemistic units in literary texts. Euphemisms are interpreted as linguistic means that soften socially sensitive meanings. The study highlights their mechanisms of meaning formation, contextual dependence, and communicative functions. It also discusses their role in enhancing the aesthetic impact of literary discourse.
