Abstract

This article explores the psychological and pedagogical methods of developing and practically applying the vocabulary of primary school students. Vocabulary acquisition during early childhood serves as a vital foundation for reading comprehension, academic literacy, and effective social communication. The results demonstrate that interactive and play-based methodologies lead to a significantly higher word retention rate (a 30.7% net growth) and accelerate the transition of words from passive recognition to active daily speech. Ultimately, the paper provides practical recommendations for primary school educators to build a robust linguistic foundation for young learners.
